Let’s take a look at motivation. After all, motivation is the one component that is absolutely necessary to be a success. You can have all the best ideas in the world and read all the success books you can get your hands on, but if you lack the motivation to take action nothing will happen. Nothing becomes without action. You will be like a stagnant pool of water collecting bugs and bacteria. We don’t want that. In order to understand how to better motivate ourselves, we need to understand the psychology of motivation and what drives us. This is a very complicated study so I will just give you the Cliffsnotes version:

Dale Carnegie has written some of the best works on the subject of personal development. He book “How to Win Friends and Influence People” is a must read. Enjoy this video and hopefully it will put things in perspective for you. Enjoy what you have and be greatful for the things you have been given.

This is so true. The psychology behind this is spot on.  Give it a try for a few days and you will drastically improve your efficiency.  I am happy to be able to share this with you. It has helped me and it can help you.

Here Robert Kiyosaki speaks on why it does not make sense to be an employee.  W2 income is the income you have to work the hardest for and it is taxed the most! I say the hell with that!  I’ve been reading Robert’s book from the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series called “Retire Young, Retire Rich” here and there.  The title of the book peaked my interest because it is exactly what I want to do.  Since I started reading his book, I downloaded some of his audio and it is great. I highly reccomend it for everyone looking to expand their horizons and achieve success.

Do you want to work for someone? Or do you want someone else working for you?  It makes sense. Why would you want to work your whole life to make others rich and at the end have nothing for it except maybe a 401k or some declining pension.  It’s not the existence that I want for myself.  I want better.  I am focusing my creative energies, the law of attraction, and the mastermind alliance principles towards achieving my definite cheif aim.

Re-watch this video. Think about what he is saying. Think about your life. Is it time for a change?

This will be scary. This is not for the faint at heart.  The safety net of a company sponsored paycheck is gone.  But the ceiling on your income and trading dollars for hours is gone too.  Leverage other peoples efforts, talents, and time to make yourself more successful. This will take time so don’t go quitting your day job tomorrow.  Start by creating a business in your spare time.  Successful people spend their free time differently from the masses. They use it more effectively.  Start something today. Get moving in the right direct. Gain momentum. Motion create emotion.

I went into business with my girls mom’s boyfriend recently and we are creating our reality every day through harmonious cooperation and the same goal, $30,000,000.  When I first met him we were both already interested in and actively studying success principles and the law of attraction.  We both studied “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and we both have the same desire focused in the same direction.

Scientifically, a group of batteries charges an object exponentially faster than a single object alone.  This is also true with the power of the mind.  The mind is constantly firing off electric pulses and sending that energy outward.  So here we are, Andrew and Me, driving along in our van traveling this route together to the top.  We are both focused on creating the same thing and discuss it daily.  When this happens, things take place.  First we get McDonald’s as an account, 28 of them!  Then, as we are inspecting the locations before we clean them we were handing out cards and got a 3 store supermarket chain.  We started having momentum.  We are picking up new stores everyday and consistently focus daily on our goal of a $30,000,000 company.   It is not going to happen overnight, but it will happen. That is a positive.

I’ve had jobs that were commission based, so you are essentially working for yourself, but you would only get 40-50% commission. That means that someone else is getting 50-60% of YOUR money, for what? I have decided the only way to get out of life what I want is to work for myself. Working for yourself doesn’t necessarily mean working by yourself. Every successful individual has had a team of people, often called a Master Mind that helps them to attain success. ( I will elaborate on the Master Mind Alliance in another post.) So the journey is to put together this vision of “success” through life by utilizing the experiences, knowledge, contacts, and ideas of those who a placed in your path. The Universe tends to bring you what you need and who you need to get it if you only ASK.

So I decided that I was the one who was going to determine how much I’m worth. I’m going to work for myself. At times it’s difficult, at times it’s great, but in the end it is the only way to really be rich. If you think that getting a good job and working hard for pay raises and climbing some dull corporate ladder is the way to get rich, PLEASE read Robert Kiyosaki’s “Rich Dad’s Retire Young, Retire Rich” He says this is the WORST way to get rich! I’m not going to ruin it for you so read the book. I promise you will benefit greatly from it!

My Start…

I’m starting out this blog as an Entrepreneur who has yet to make his millions. An Entrepreneur who has traveled a few different roads and didn’t enjoy the view enough to travel any of them to the end. An Entrepreneur who is studying many different texts on successful people and different philosophies on success. This is my journey from today to success. I will be sharing my successes and learning experiences with you and really doing my best to give you a look into the life of a starting Entrepreneur.

“Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill was first published back in 1937. The book was written with the encouragement of the billionaire businessman Andrew Carnegie towards the end of the Great Depression. The very first version of the book had the much longer title of “Think and Grow Rich; Teaching, for the First Time, the Famous Andrew Carnegie Formula for Money-Making, Based upon the Thirteen Proven Steps to Riches”

The book is loosely based on Hill’s previous “The Law of Success” work where the author researched the lives of many successful American businessmen, investors and entrepreneurs. Think and Grow Rich is the result of many years research into the rich and successful, condensed into 13 simple principles.

I have found several different ways to start your day like a successful entrepreneur.  Some of them may work for you. Try them out and let me know what you think.

1) Self Starters – Napoleon Hill in “The Laws of Success” speaks of the self starter “Do It Now”.  This is a positive affirmation and can help you to take action.  A quote that I heard reminds me of this self starter; “Never wait for the time to be just right. It never will.”   Your self starter can be anything you want that motivates you to take action to achieving your success.  Make it yours and have fun with it.

2) Positive Affirmations – Positive statements are powerful.  They resonate in your subconcious and can shape your path to success.  A very popular positive affirmation that I discovered while listening to “Selling You” by Napoleon Hill is “I’m Getting Better and Better, Everyday in Everyway.” You are your most important motivator, coach, and critic.  The more you boost yourself with positive thoughts and affirmations the more others will respond favorably to you.

3) Get Some Light – When you wake up go outside for a few minutes.  Take a look at the Sun.  Feel it’s warmth on your face and breath in the fresh air.  This helps clear your head for the upcoming day and allows you to refocus on the important tasks that need to be completed.

4)Exercise- Exercising in the morning boosts your metabolism and makes you more awake and energized.  After exercising in the morning I always hit the path to success motivated and at full speed.  Studies show that exercising significantly increases mental acuity—a benefit that lasts four to ten hours after your workout ends.

5)Drink Water- Water should be the first thing you put in your body every day. It is important to hydrate your body after a full night’s sleep. It’s also the best thing you can do to lose weight.
